How to Turn off Animated Emojis and GIFs in Slack

Emoji and GIF integration are two of the standout and nicely-loved options of Slack. But the constant loop of a “party parrot” emoji or a GIF can be distracting. Here’s how to turn them off.

The good news is, there’s a fast setting alter that you can make to stop moving emojis and GIFs if you want to prevent visible interruptions. It is very rapid to toggle, so you can quickly switch it on and off as desired.
